Thank you for Letting me do my work experience at Skill 7, I enjoyed doing it.

It has been the best coaching I have done in my life with you and Chris.

I would like to come back and do it again with you.

Pleasant student with his heart in the right place! Well done Perri.

I liked coaching at Skill 7 very much.

Thank you for giving me a chance to do my work experience with you.

Idair De-Sousa

Idair tried hard all week. He started well and then tailed off towards the end. Needs to keep his concentration a little more. Overall, a decent work experience student.

My 5 days with skill 7 was excellent, but the first I was a bit nervous but when I saw Sav I knew it was going to be great.

The primary schools I went to were fun. They did different sports and it was good fun to play handball and football for their P.E lessons.

Every After School sessions was brilliant as I played for both teams. When I was playing, I noticed that some of the players had qualities. Every school I went to had great kids.

I highly recommend skill 7 to people who want to be a sports coach. I say try here, it's great fun to work with the coaches. But when I think to myself, I say it should be more then five days for work experience

Lamar St-cyr

Lamar St-cyr 2007

Lamar did well on his work experience with us. He was a little quiet, but got involved with all the sessions.

He related to the children and responded well to instructions.

Lamar could do with a little more confidence, and could also do with trying things out himself, trial and error, as this will improve him as both a person and a potential sports coach.

Overall, willing work experience student.

Samuel

Work experience can be pretty intimidating and was certainly nervous on the Monday morning, but as soon as I met Sav, I knew my week was going to be quality. I immediately felt a relaxed atmosphere.

When we visited our first school, it amazed me how much the children loved Sav and Chris...but I soon found out why! They were great fun and superb coaches.

Throughout the week, turning up each day wasn't an effort, it was a pleasure. I enjoyed every minute. It has been said before, by another work experience student, but I'll say it again, five days are not enough!

I can strongly recommend Skill 7 to any person, male or female, who has sporting aspirations as it is the perfect example of a top class coaching organisation. Top stuff.

What a great character. Sam got on well with the coaches, the teachers, and most importantly, the children at each and every school.

Sam will make a very good sports coach someday. He currently plays football and rugby for his school and a high standard of rugby with Fullerians Rugby Club.

Sam will always be welcome here at Skill 7 as he is up there with the best work experience students we have had this year!

Rickmansworth School have a gem in Sam. Well done son.

Ollie

One word to sum up my week with Skill 7 is 'chuffed.' I'm chuffed that I found such a great placement in sports coaching. Travelling a long distance didn't bother me because I knew that in Sav, Chris, David 1, David 2, Tom, and Hannah, I'd be taught how to be the best and the best is what I want to be! All the staff at Skill 7 made me feel welcome and comfortable in my new surroundings.

I really do recommend Skill 7 to any male or female sports fan. If you are enthusiastic and willing to learn, then this is for you.

Sav said to me that he likes to hear about the negatives in Skill 7 as opposed to the positives as you can work to improve on the negatives, I'm guessing that these guys don't get much negative feedback if any at all! The one negative thing about my placement was...ONE WEEK WASN'T ENOUGH, I WANT MORE! and so will you after five days here!!

Once again, thanks to Sav and all his coaches for a great week.

Ollie Meacher

Ashlyns School, Berkhamsted

Ollie Meacher 2007
8th Oct - 12th Oct

One word to describe Ollie would be 'superb.'

We thought that with Michael scoring 10 out of 10 last week, that it would take some time to find someone as good...but in Ollie, we did!

Ollie is proactive, thinks outside the box, is a great communicator, gets involved all the time, strikes up immediate relationships with the children and other coaches, works extremely hard and above all, is always willing to learn.

If Ollie leaves school and wants a job in this industry, which he says he does, he need not look any further as there will be a place here waiting for him here at Skill 7.

Due to Ollie's great week with us, he was invited to cover a coaching assistant on Saturday to assistant on both a Saturday morning match club and also a birthday party. Again, the feedback was very favourable.

Well done Ollie, a credit to Ashlyns School!

Michael

I have loved doing my work experience with Skill 7. The coaches made me feel welcome which helped as I love playing sports in general. I picked Skill 7 as I knew I wanted to become a sports coach or teacher when I leave school. I knew that with the experience I'd pick up whilst with Skill 7, this would boost me through the courses I needed.

I knew a little of what was going to happen as Sav and Chris coached me when I was in primary school and I have also helped a little during the school holidays.

I have had great fun working with Sav, Chris and David this week as they have made me feel welcome from the second I arrived, they made me laugh and were great with the kids. I have had fun going to different schools and playing football and other sports games like Crab Football, Elephant football, Bench Ball and Four Team Multi Touch…great fun! I have loved playing football with the children as they all had different abilities and personalities which made me laugh.

I definitely recommend Skill 7 to anyone doing work experience in the future as it's great fun, there are always things to do, and the coaches are very friendly.

Michael De-Honri

St Joan of Arc School

Michael De-Honri 2007
1st Oct - 5th Oct

Michael has been part of Skill 7 since the age of 7. Firstly it was great to see another of our former students apply to take their placement with us and secondly it was great to have Michael on board for the week.

Michael is very industrious. He need never be told to complete a task. If something needs doing, blink and Michael has started and finished it, whether it be office work or a practical sports session. His work rate is second to none and the way he relates to children is superb.

Overall, the only reason I would not recommend Michael to other employers is that...I would only want him working for Skill 7 when he leaves school! A superb work experience student. Happy Days!

Sophie

I have really enjoyed this week as I love taking part in sport. When I found Skill 7 on the list of placements and saw that it was as a sports assistant, I thought this was the ideal placement to go for.

Throughout the week I went around many schools helping the children with their sports sessions.

Sav and Chris were really nice and helped me to fit in straight away! I had a lot of fun playing with the children. I join in with many of their mini games. Many of the children on the after school football sessions were very good players and all really enjoyed themselves. The Skill 7 Elite programme was excellent as the players were extremely good and thoroughly enjoy the advanced sessions put on by the coaches.

I would definitely recommend Skill 7 as it was a really eventful and enjoyable week with loads of things to do.

Sophie Chapman

Watford Grammar Girls School

Sophie Chapman - 2007
24th Sept - 28th Sept

What can I say...Sophie was an absolute star! The first girl to take up a placement with us, she quickly settled in and became part of the furniture!

Sophie was great at everything she did, whether it be office work, organising, planning, and of course taking part in the sessions with the children.

Sophie will always be welcome at Skill 7. Stuck for something to do during school holidays? Give us a bell treacle!

Nick

I chose to take my work experience placement at Skill 7 because I've been interested in coaching for a while now and Skill 7 sounded like an interesting place to go.

During the week I went around the schools with Sav and Chris, who were both really good at what they do and really good with the children. The children really enjoyed the Skill 7 sessions. Some of the children were good players but even the less gifted were kept interested each day.

I had a great time with the guys around the schools and I really enjoyed it. Thanks a lot to Skill 7 because it was great fun!

Nick is a very likeable character. He listens well, takes on tasks with great efficiency, and is good with the children.
Nick could well have a future in this industry once he comes out of his shell. Confidence will come with experience. Well done!

Daniel

I started my work experience with Skill 7 on Monday 9th of July. I was a bit worried in the fact that I did not know exactly what it would be like.

When I heard of Skill 7, I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to put my coaching and football skills into practise as I have been learning how to coach for the FA level 1.

It also gave me the opportunity to see what it was like to run a business by watching Sav running Skill 7. He has shown me how organised you have to be to run a business and all the key elements in making sure everything runs smoothly.

This week has taught me a lot more in how to coach and communicate with children, how to play better football, and also how fun it can be. Sav, Chris, and David have been excellent to me and I thank all of them for my great experience. I would recommend the Skill 7 team to all other would be work experience students.…

I hope that I may help out in any way with Skill 7 in the future as they have been great to me and taught me a lot.

Dan has done very well this week. His confidence with the coaches and children is second to none. He converses well, works hard, and is not afraid to get involved in the 'friendly banter' which exists in the sports industry.

Dan has also taught a few of the coaches some new tricks this week...but Chris and David have been upset by the fact that a fourteen year old knew more tricks than them! Hey ho!!

Good luck with your athletics training. 9/10

Ben

On Monday 9th July I had a work shadowing day with Skill 7, spending the day with Sav and Chris. I have been training with Sav for the last five years and was grateful for the chance to shadow him for the day.

This day gave me the opportunity to help with Sav and Chris's day, but also to learn about the company.

My favourite part of the day was coaching at the after school club. I spent the afternoon at Abbots Langley helping with the coaching and the matches.

Given the chance I would definitely do this again and hope I can spend my weeks works experience with Skill 7 when I am in year 10.

Thank you

What a great young man to have as our first work shadowing student! Enjoyable to be around, fun with the younger children and a credit to his school. Ben is most certainly welcome to take his work experience with us in two years time. Well done. 8/10
Bradleigh

On Monday 2nd July, I started my work experience with Skill 7. I was very excited but a little nervous too. Working with Sav, Chris, David, Tom, and Baz, was great. I had a very enjoyable week. They all treated me with respect, just as if I were another coach. I learnt a lot about teamwork whilst working with Skill 7.

The best part of the week was working with the children because they are all fantastic at football, especially the Elite players. All the children were great fun to be with.

I would like to say thanks to Sav and all the other coaches for having me. I hope you have as much fun coaching every day of the year as I did in my one week!

I would really recommend Skill 7 to everyone looking for a placement, even if you don't like sports, as these guys are true pro's.

Thanks for a great week and remember, I am always here to help.

Bradleigh Bishop

Bradleigh Bishop - 2007
2nd July - 6th July

Bradleigh is superb at working with children. He is very endearing and is the first student to have children from all schools coming and asking his name at the beginning of every session! His enthusiasm is excellent. Bradleigh need only be told once about putting together a session area or match play pitch and then consider it done! Quality work experience student. 8/10
Adam

My work experience started on the 25th June and finished on the 19th.

I was excited to be doing sport with Skill 7. All of the Skill 7 coaches I met treated me as if I were a coach along side them. I have thoroughly enjoyed my work experience with Skill 7 and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sport and working with children.

I would like to say a big thank you to Sav, Chris, and all of the other coaches for giving me an excellent week. I hope you all had as much fun with me as I did with you. I hope we can stay in contact and I hope to see you soon. I'm always here to help.

Thanks again,

Adam is a quality lad. He is very chatty, confident when speaking with older people and very good with younger children. With a little hard work, Adam could carve out a career in the sport industry, whether it be playing or coaching. Good luck! 8/10

I started my work experience with Skill 7 on the 18th of June and it ended on the 22nd. I was extremely excited when I heard that I was joining Skill 7 as I knew I would enjoy every minute of it. I had a great week working with Sav and his coaches and I especially enjoyed working and coaching kids from different schools across Hertfordshire.
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed the week working with everyone at Skill 7 and I have learnt so much from this.
I would highly recommend Skill 7 if you're looking for a fun and enjoyable work experience.
Thanks for a fantastic week.

Dear Sav,

I am writing to thank, you, Chris, David, and Tom for making my work experience so enjoyable. My placement has given me the opportunity to work with young football players. The Elite session was great to join in with as they are a group of very talented players.

I enjoyed working with the coaches very much as they made me laugh and made my week a good overall experience.

Please thank all your staff who helped me.

Yours Sincerely,

Dean

On Monday the 4th June, I started my work experience with Skill 7. I was really please that I had chosen Skill 7 because I knew that I would have a week where I would be able to not only learn about Sav's company and how things are run, but where I'd also be able to offer some of the skills which I have learnt over the past ten years and help coach a number of children at various schools.

Overall, I really enjoyed working with Sav and his team and I have learnt a lot during my week with them.

If anyone is looking to have a good work experience, I would recommend Skill 7.
