Beau Quigley |
I really enjoyed my week at Skill 7, I went to a different school each day, every school was a pleasure to coach, I enjoyed everything this week from sticking stamps on envelopes to coaching and having a laugh with the kids, Sav and Chris (the two coaches) taught me that its not always about being the best, its about having a laugh and enjoying yourself, because the kids enjoy themselves if you do!
I don't think I could of had a better work experience placement, I definitely know I have had the best week out of all my friends. It would be a pleasure to work with Sav and Chris again, Both of them made me feel welcome.
Beau Quigley
Westfield School |
Beau was an excellent student, from the minute he came into the office he was asking questions about what and how the business was run, he was always enthusiastic about what evey he was asked to do,
once he was able to get out and start coaching with the kids you could tell straight away that he was going to be great through out the week, when you would ask Beau to do something you never had to ask him a second time he would get straight on with what he had to do, Beau is one of only a few students that once his placement was up we ask him if he would like to come and start assisting us on some of our holiday courses which he did during the Christmas Holiday courses.

James Smithson |
Throughout my work experience, both Sav and Chris were incredible helpful and supportive, giving me real work experience.
I went round to a number of different schools with either Sav or Chris. Both were great with the kids and gave me a number of things to do.
I would recommend Skill 7 for work experience to anyone interested in sport or coaching as it is good fun and a real experience of what this type of work would be like.
James Smithson
Rickmansworth School |
James was one of the most inquisitive work experience students we've ever had the pleasure of working with. Not an hour went by without a question being fired at one of the coaches. This was unusual for a work experience student as, usually, the coaches try, sometimes in vain, to get the students to ask questions!
James related extremely well with both the children and coaches. He was confident enough to take the warm up and cool down exercises every session as-well-as participating in every technical session and small sided game.
It would be a pleasure to have James assist on future Skill 7 courses. A credit to Rickmansworth school.

Nathan Oliver |
My work experience with Skill 7 was a good, fulfilled and enjoyable week.
I worked various hours at different locations which included Stevenage, Bushey and Slough, my experience included coaching, warming up the children before exercise, and putting trophies together.
I also got to meet another boy called Will who was also on work experience all the way from Devon.
This meant that sometimes we worked together, or split up with Sav and Chris.
Sav who is the director of Skill 7 made me feel very welcome along with his assistant Chris and I would like to thank both of them for the opportunity and experience gained. The children taking part seem to all have fun and enjoy their lessons and clubs, and I am sure this is due to the dedication given from Sav and Chris.
Nathan Oliver
Verulam School |
Nathan was very shy when he first got to us on Monday, but by the third day he was a lot more confident and he was a good lad who was very good with the children, he was very good in the office throughout the week doing many different things, overall a good lad and a very bright future in the sports industry.

Will Shortage |
My week working with Skill 7 started off quite well. We went and did team building exercises at school. It was quite hard to teach the kids how the games worked.
The coaches, Sav and Chris were very helpful in saying what to do if I got something wrong, they looked after me very well and taught me a few things, I needed to know.
The days were not too long, they went by very quickly, I enjoyed every day but Friday was probably the best for me. This is because it was the elite group. I got to join in with the others and also help out Chris with his shooting practice. I then got to go and help Sav with his session. My favourite part of the night was when I got to play with the little elite players.
I think that Skill 7 is a good company if you want to coach kids as it is a lot of fun. I would do it if it wasn't that I lived in Devon.
William Shortridge
Pilton Community Collage |
William is a brilliant lad he is another student we knew before as he attend a few of our courses we have run in Devon. He was great to have around the office as he was a very confidant lad, as he said in his report I am sure if he lived closer to Hertfordshire there would be a place available for him once he had left school.

Shea Darcy |
I was a little nervous on my first day, as i was in a new environment. I had met Sav and Chris before when i helped out in cirencester, so that made it a little easier.
I would recommend Skill 7 as a work experience placement, for people who love sport, like working with younger children and wont a better knowledge of coaching.
Thanks a lot to Sav, Chris and David for helping me through the week.
Shea Darcy
St Augustine's Catholic College |
Shea was a great student, we knew Shea already as he had help us in the past doing some work for us in Cirencester through the holiday courses, he is a good lad who was very comfortable with the kids and always knew what to do without being told. He has very good future in sport if he decides to take that path in the future.

Ryan Drewitt |
It was an amazing week and a great experience, The guys were really friendly and made it loads of fun. It was really worth while.
Ryan Drewitt
St Joan Of Arc Catholic College |
Ryan was a very good student, he was a little nervous to begin with but as the week went on he became more confident, I do believe he could do well as he would like to become a sports coach in the future.

Rachel Dussek |
My work experience with Skill 7 was such an enjoyable week, Everyone made me feel so welcome and they made the job that bit more fun. The kids were all fantastic and its so fulfilling once you've taught them something. An amazing week, and hope to see you all again in the near future. I just feel sorry for any of my friends who were stuck in an office all week!
Rachel Dussek
Watford Grammar School For Girls |
Rachel was an excellent student one of the best we have had, always asking questions and wanting to learn more about the business, She was so enthusiastic throughout the whole week, at every school she went to she always built up a relationship with the kids she coached. A very Good Students.

Ben Wager |
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Skill 7 and recommend it to all students as a work experience placement. |
Ben was a decent work experience student who worked hard all week. He related well with the children and struck up a decent rapport with the coaches.

Scott Howlett |
My work experience was great! It was a lot better than school!!
On my first two days, I was a little nervous, but on the last two days I became more confident.
During my five days at Skill 7 I met most of the coaches, Sav (the owner), Chris, Tom, Hannah, and David. They all made me feel welcome.
I went to lots of schools but Bedmond and St Meryl were definitely my favourites!
I hope to come and help out in the summer ...if Skill 7 want me.
Thanks to Sav and the coaches for a great week.
Scott Howlett
Marlborough School and Technology College |
Scott started the week a little apprehensive and nervous, but soon grew in confidence as he got to know the coaches more.
I can honestly say that we have not had a more inquisitive student on placement ...ever! It was a pleasure to answer Scott's many questions about the running of the business, the staffing, the finances, how we relate to the children ...and their parents, how we started out, what qualifications we need, and so on...
Scott indicated that he'd like to return and assist on future holiday courses and, in the future, become a sports coach. I have to say that Scott's demeanour is endearing to all. He struck up good relationships with the other coaches ...and players. The only thing I would say to Scott is that he needs to relate to the children as much as he relates to his fellow coaches.
All in all, a very good work experience student.

Pooja Kohli |
Hey Sav,
I am writing to say thank you, to you and Chris, for an amazing work experience. I enjoyed every minute of it. Even though I have been known to lack in enthusiasm in work I actually looked forward to coming to work everyday.
5 days weren't enough for me I wish I had more days with Skill 7 and working with small kids. I liked after school lessons a lot as I got to work with talented children.
I would recommend Skill 7 to anyone who enjoys sport and working with little kids.
I would love to come back and do it again.
Pooja Kohli
Royal Masonic School for Girls |
Pooja is a very pleasant student with a good understanding of children's needs. She got involved all week and was helpful around the office and at each venue.
Pooja will, one day, make a great multi-sport coach as her enthusiasm is brilliant.

Lewis Wright |
I was very nervous on my first work experience day with Skill 7, but I really enjoyed the week I was there. All the coaches were friendly and it was fantastic to work with all the children and their different personalities. The week was really enjoyable and I learnt a lot about how to encourage and control the children. I would recommend that anyone who loves sport and wants to work with young children should definitely consider Skill 7 as their work experience choice.
Thanks a lot to Sav, Chris and all the other coaches and assistants for giving me the opportunity to do my work experience with Skill 7.
Lewis Wright
Watford Grammar School for Boys |
After a nervous first day, Lewis came out of his shell a little and seemed to really enjoy his week with us.
He got involved in all the sessions, spoke to the children, and excelled on the computer and with the general office duties. A pleasant work experience student, who, with a little encouragement, could possibly have a decent future in sports coaching. Well done Lewis.

Stuart Rayner |
My work experience was wicked! It could not have been any better!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Skill 7. Unfortunately...one week is not enough.
I learnt many things and enjoyed every minute. We did different sports at different school each day which was quality.
I hope future work experience students have as good a time at Skill 7 as I have had.
Thanks to Sav and all the other Skill 7 coaches for allowing me to do my work experience with you.
Stuart Rayner
Longdean School |
Stuart was a decent, hardworking work experience student. If he wanted to, he could make a decent living in the football coaching industry. Stuart was inquisitive, forward thinking, and above all related well to both the other coaches and, more importantly, the children.
A brilliant work experience student. A credit to Longdean School.

Will Tickel |
My week with Skill 7 was great!
I felt a little nervous on my first day, but Sav was there to lay it out for me!
It was good to see the kids enjoying the sessions so much. Sav, Chris, and the other coaches really know how to incorporate and encourage everyone at their sessions. They all made me feel welcome amongst the kids, and I quickly got involved in the activities. It was really satisfying to see the kids responding so well to advice and encouragement. Sav and Chris led by example. They taught me how to motivate the kids properly.
I would definitely recommend Skill 7 to anyone who loves sport and enjoys working with kids.
Again, A Great Week!!
Will Tickel
St Georges School |
Will, after getting over his initial nervous period, he quickly settled in and ended up not only being one of the most complete work experience students we've had, but also becoming a potential 'Multi-Sports Coach' for Skill 7. That's how much potential Will has!
Will is articulate, inquisitive, pro-active, and very confident once he gets to know people. He was especially confident when it came to working with the children.
A fine work experience student and a credit to St Georges.

Hannah Freeman |
My work experience with Skill 7 was BRILLIANT!
I really enjoyed my week. All the schools we visited and the children we worked with were great.
I would recommend Skill 7 to any student who enjoys sport as I certainly enjoyed my time with them.
If you'd like an enjoyable work experience week, then Skill 7 is the place for you.
Thank you for allowing me to do my work experience with Skill 7. |
Hannah is a great girl. Polite, interested in her work, good with children, and a calming influence on all the people around her. Having known and coached her, since the age of seven, it was no surprise that Hannah worked so well with the children.
Hannah wants to work as a multi-sports coach when she finishes her education. On this showing she'll have organisations lining up for her services ...with Skill 7 first in line!

Ikera Williams |
Work experience at Skill 7 has been an amazing experience. At first i did not know what to expect but once I met Sav and Chris I knew I could reassure myself that the week ahead was going to be great.
I went to many schools throughout the week and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. I would have liked to spend more than one week at Skill 7 because one week is just not enough.
Thank you Sav for letting me work at Skill 7. |
Ikera started off the week a very quiet and shy girl...and ended it by being one of the best work experience students we've ever had! Ikera was very professional in her attitude and worked brilliantly with the children. She has requested to assist us on our holiday courses...and will definitely be asked to do so! Ricky Carter |
I have been an Assistant Coach for Skill7 for about a year now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. My work experience gave me a further insight into how the business is run why it is successful, the main reason is because it is so well organised, Sav and Chris organize the days so that they have time for everything they need to do.
I also found out that they did school P.E sessions which the children really enjoyed. The school sessions were completely new to me as I have only really coached the Elite sessions and Saturday morning clubs.
When I found out about my work experience I didn't hesitate to ask Sav if I could do it with him. I spoke to my mates about how their work experience went and none of them seemed to enjoy it half as much as I did. Overall, I think my work experience was great and gave me further reasons to choose this a career path. Thanks to Sav and Chris for making it a superb week. |
Having known Ricky since the age of seven, and having him assisting our coaches on Holiday courses, Elite sessions, and Saturday Clubs for the past two years, it was no surprise that he had such a successful work experience week. His professionalism showed no bounds and the way he related to the children was immense. Ricky did not need to be told what to do, with him it was instinctive. Ricky has a huge career in this industry, if he chooses to take it. A credit to The Nobel School.

Gemma Ingram |
Working at skill 7 was a whole different experience for me, it felt strange at first because normally I'd be the one getting taught but instead I was the teacher.
I had fun at all the schools we coached at. The kids were great and you could tell they really respected Sav and the other coaches. I liked the different ways I was introduced to the kids. Occasionally it was just 'everyone this is Gemma Ingram she goes to Nicholas Breakspear school in St Albans'...and at other times it was everyone, this is SUPERGIRL.
I got to meet loads of new people Sav, Chris, David, Tom, Ricky amongst others.
To be honest, when I first got my placement I didn't know that skill 7 was based around football because football is not my strongest sport. Even so, the way the coaches related to the kids was sooooo fun, it proved to me that you don't have to be good at football to coach, just that you have to give everything a go and enjoy yourself.
Skill 7 is the perfect placement for anyone who enjoys sport.
Thanks guys for giving me a week I'll never forget. To be honest, I wish work experience was for two weeks...or more! |
Gemma was a superb work experience student. Always smiling, pleasant, and polite. She worked hard, asked questions, related well to the children, and always got involved. A credit to her school!

Daniel Lewis |
Working at Skill 7 with Sav, Chris, and David was a really good experience for me. On day one, I was quite apprehensive but also ambitious as this is a career path I wish to follow, but when I was introduced to the team I knew I was going to have a great time.
Working at Divine Savior, Bedmond, Hartsbourne, to name but a few, I learnt to adapt to working with people both younger and older than me.
Thank you very much to the team for giving me the opportunity to take my placement at Skill 7. |
Dan was a star all week. Confident, Inquisitive, Pro-Active, Dan excelled in all he did. A pleasure to have on board.

Idair De-Sousa
Idair tried hard all week. He started well and then tailed off towards the end. Needs to keep his concentration a little more. Overall, a decent work experience student.

Thomas Jubb |
At the start of the week I was a little apprehensive of how it was going to go,but now I can't get enough.
As soon as I saw Sav and Chris I knew that my week was going to be brilliant. Sav is a right character and a great guy, but what surprised me most was how all the kids look up to Sav and how much they enjoy the sessions. Despite the firing days, each and every day has been fantastic and I would love to do it again, I just cannot emphasise how much fun I have had this week. |
Thomas worked supremely well with the children. A good role model for all budding sportsmen and women. Quality work experience student.

Matthew Robinson |
I have enjoyed my two weeks of work experience because I have been able to learn new skills in this line of work. I have enjoyed being able to help young children to improve on their football skills for example shooting, passing, control and team-work. One of the best parts of my work experience was being able to take two of Savva's school sessions to do my own training plan. My worst bit of work experience was trying to learn different languages because most of the children at Central Primary school speak in different languages.
If you like to help young children improve their football skills then this is the work experience for you. |
Matthew was great with the children and a number have asked after him since. Needs to be a little more assertive and confident with adults. Good work experience student.
